Property Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, including leasing, maintenance coordination, rent collections, and resident relations
- Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements
- Manage resident files, certifications, recertifications, income verifications, and compliance documentation
- Monitor occupancy levels and support leasing efforts to meet revenue and community goals
- Supervise onsite staff, including leasing, administrative, and maintenance team members
- Prepare and manage budgets, approve invoices, and track operating expenses
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and overall curb appeal
- Address resident concerns and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective service
- Prepare operational, financial, and compliance reports for leadership
- Support audits, inspections, and agency reviews
- Implement policies and procedures that improve operational efficiency and resident satisfaction
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing compliance programs such as LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and tax credit regulations
- Experience with resident certifications and recertifications
- Proven ability to manage budgets, occupancy, and property performance
- Strong leadership, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident information professionally
Compensation
