Property Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, including leasing, maintenance coordination, rent collections, and resident relations
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements
• Manage resident files, certifications, recertifications, income verifications, and compliance documentation
• Monitor occupancy levels and support leasing efforts to meet revenue and community goals
• Supervise onsite staff, including leasing, administrative, and maintenance team members
• Prepare and manage budgets, approve invoices, and track operating expenses
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and overall curb appeal
• Address resident concerns and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective service
• Prepare operational, financial, and compliance reports for leadership
• Support audits, inspections, and agency reviews
• Implement policies and procedures that improve operational efficiency and resident satisfaction

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing compliance programs such as LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and tax credit regulations
• Experience with resident certifications and recertifications
• Proven ability to manage budgets, occupancy, and property performance
• Strong leadership, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident information professionally
