Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take messages
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
• Verify patient information, insurance, and demographics
• Collect co-pays and process payments
• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR systems)
• Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and office efficiency

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume patient environment
