Medical Receptionist
We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take messages
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Verify patient information, insurance, and demographics
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR systems)
- Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and office efficiency
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 1+ year of medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume patient environment
Compensation
