SIOP Project Assistant Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The SIOP Project Assistant Manager is responsible for leading planning and coordination activities for mechanical and plumbing prefabrication. This role aligns demand, capacity, labor, materials, schedule, and delivery requirements to support reliable shop execution and on-time project commitments.
As a manager-level planning leader within the SIOP function, this position serves as the primary link between SIOP, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and Operational Excellence, with direct ownership of prefab planning, readiness, and coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) planning for mechanical and plumbing prefab scope.
- Translate project demand into executable production and delivery plans.
- Build and maintain constrained plans based on labor, equipment, material, and facility capacity.
- Identify and escalate shortages, bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
- Coordinate readiness across engineering release, material availability, labor capability, and schedule.
- Track and report forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, plan adherence, shortage trends, and on-time delivery.
- Partner with Production and OpEx to improve planning discipline, KPI visibility, and standardization.

- Execution and readiness performance, including on-time delivery, shortage trends, and overall readiness performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience in prefabrication, manufacturing, construction operations, production planning, supply chain, or logistics.
- Strong working knowledge of capacity planning, inventory planning, production scheduling, and delivery coordination.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel-based models, dashboards, and planning tools.
- Experience supporting mechanical or plumbing prefabrication.
- Experience in a high-mix production environment.
- Experience with ERP, MES, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Experience working in a KPI-driven operating environment.
