Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated CMM Programmer who is responsible for developing and writing CMM Programs, as well as support processing of inspection jobs and being a backup to the area Supervisor for scheduling & prioritization of work in their absence. The programming portion includes first article programs as well as production inspection programs, support and technical guidance within the assigned operation. This job encompasses the identification of improvement opportunities by providing clear feedback to supervisor, production, engineering and CNC programmers the inspection results.



Responsibilities

· Develop and write CMM programs including first article programs and production inspection programs

· Support and offer technical guidance within the assigned operations

· Process routings based on inspection results (QA 292, DAR) as required

· Identify improvement opportunities

· Learn and provide backup for laser scanning of parts and patterns.

· Under general direction, performs the management of projects related to industrial pump manufacturing, component engineering and manufacturing for new and existing parts and assemblies.

· Coordinate inspection priorities in the absence of the Supervisor



Qualifications



Education and Experience:

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred; High school diploma is required

· 3-5 years of CMM programming experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required

 

Qualifications:

· Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.

· Proficiency with Pro-E experience is preferred

· Proficient in MS Project, MS word and MS Excel.

· Strong math background including trigonometry and geometry.

· Able to perform hands-on shop work.

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

· Write and edit CMM Programs using PC-DMIS. Ability to program offline with PC-DMIS using CAD models.

· Experience with HighQA preferred

· Utilization of higher level Alignment Techniques.

· Using Scanning Methods.

· Advanced troubleshooting abilities.

· Blueprints, specifications and routers and interpret GD&T.

· Calibrate the coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

· Working knowledge of ANSI, ASME and ISO.

· Metrology knowledge is a plus
