PAYROLL/HRIS ANALYST
Gray’s Specialty Equipment segment offers a comprehensive range of expert services to design, manufacture, integrate, install, and maintain some of the most advanced systems on the market. The Specialty Equipment segment includes Anderson Dahlen, located in Ramsey, MN, and Waconia, MN. Anderson Dahlen delivers end-to-end equipment design-build and contract manufacturing, with precision fabrication – cutting, forming, machining, welding, finishing, and complex assemblies – backed by engineering, integration, and complete process solutions including skids and sanitary platforms tailored to customer applications. Anderson Dahlen is ISO 9001:2015 certified, as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant.
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $31-$45/hour.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll/HRIS Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, organizing HR information within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), while also supporting key HR functions across the employee life cycle. The role offers a unique blend of payroll and human resources responsibilities within a collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process payroll for multiple shifts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Review and audit timekeeping data, PTO, and employee changes before payroll submission.
- Manage employee data for new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and updates.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper documentation and system setup.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee support.
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll and HR-related employee inquiries.
- Designs and maintains HRIS in support of the organization's data management, reporting needs, and ensuring data integrity across systems.
- Ensures accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HRIS.
- Creates standard and ad hoc queries or reports. Provides data summaries or statistical analysis for use in strategic planning or decision-making.
- Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data. Prepares end-user documentation or training materials as needed.
- Collaborate with HR teams and finance to support reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
- Confidentiality and discretion is key in this role.
- Leave Management for team members and facilitate various programs to ensure leaves are compliant.
- Work closely with the HR team to provide support in employee relations, recruiting, training, etc.
- Process improvement utilization with Paylocity and HR procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or certification in payroll or bookkeeping, and/or continuing education in accounting, human resources, or business, a plus.
- Proven experience in payroll processing with exposure to HR functions.
- Paylocity and M2M experience preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting
- Experience supporting onboarding, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation and HR compliance regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems
- Attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality; strong communication and problem-solving skills
