Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Corporate Office is seeking a Senior Human Resources Director supporting the Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) and our Strategy & Technology (S&T) Office. This position preferred to be located in Falls Church, VA, but must be located near an existing major Northrop Grumman facility within the continental United States. This is not a remote position.
The HR Director serves as a strategic business partner providing day-to-day support to the CO Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other corporate leaders in accomplishment of business objectives. The primary function of the role is to be a strategic partner and consultant to the business to ensure we have a human capital strategy in place to attract, engage, develop and retain the talent necessary to meet the strategic goals of the business for today and for the future.
The selected candidate will lead a team of HR business partners responsible for executing the HR strategy and will lead human capital programs and core processes including but not limited to talent acquisition, talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relation, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness and leadership development. The person in this role is responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformative projects and initiative requiring strategic thought leadership, organizational and project management skills in a high paced environment, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities. Successful candidates will have a strategic mindset, tolerance of ambiguity and strength in building relationships and driving business outcomes. This role interfaces heavily in work around our AI & technology roadmaps so the preferred candidate will welcome the opportunity to learn about and think critically on these topics.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in HR OR Master’s degree and 10 years of progressive experience in HR
Experience across multiple HR disciplines
Experience leading HR teams
Experience designing and leading change management efforts
Experience designing and implementing human capital strategies aligned to business strategy, with clear business outcomes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others at all levels
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Adaptability and resilience; able to change course when needed and operate in an ambiguous environment
Previous experience developing and implementing organization effectiveness strategies and approaches, implementing organization design and/or organization transformations
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in Aerospace & Defense
Experience leading a team as a Human Resources Director responsible for multiple HR disciplines
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and technology (e.g. Workday)
Experience working in a matrix environment
