Accounts Receivable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Submit customer invoices through online portals with a high degree of accuracy and within required timelines.
• Manage billing requests that involve customer-specific instructions, special formats, or unique invoicing requirements.
• Process credit card payments and maintain related account records to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Monitor the accounts receivable mailbox and respond promptly to inquiries regarding invoices, statements, and payment details.
• Assist with applying incoming payments and posting cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts.
• Scan, file, and organize accounting documents to support accurate recordkeeping and easy retrieval.
• Partner with internal teams and customers to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or account issues.
• Contribute to departmental projects and recommend more efficient processes to improve daily receivables operations.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.• Working knowledge of invoicing, cash application, billing activities, and customer account maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a broader accounting team.
• Experience supporting process improvements or building more efficient administrative workflows.
• Familiarity with commercial collections or cash activity management is preferred.
Compensation
