Trial Prep Paralegal

We are looking for a detail-oriented Trial Prep Paralegal to join a legal team supporting a Los Angeles Based Law Firm in an upcoming trial in Lancaster, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced litigation environments and can manage complex case materials with precision. The role will focus on trial readiness, document coordination, and day-to-day support for attorneys as the matter moves toward court.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and maintain organized trial materials, including binders, exhibits, pleadings, and discovery records for attorney review and courtroom use.

• Prepare and submit legal filings to courts while ensuring documents are properly served on opposing counsel within required deadlines.

• Track litigation schedules by updating case files, monitoring key dates, and helping the team stay aligned on upcoming obligations.

• Coordinate trial-related materials such as witness information, subpoenas, and exhibit documentation to support efficient case presentation.

• Draft clear summaries of depositions, assist with factual and legal research, and help review evidence for trial strategy preparation.

• Support attorneys with courtroom logistics and other trial-day needs to help proceedings run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in litigation support or trial preparation within a paralegal capacity.
• Prior personal injury experience is required; exposure to wrongful death matters is a plus.
• Working knowledge of legal research, motions in limine, and case timeline development.
• Familiarity with court filing practices and the procedural demands of trial preparation.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet pressing deadlines in a high-volume legal environment.
• Paralegal certificate or comparable practical experience is preferred.

Compensation

$38.00-$45.00 Hourly
