Accounting Clerk/Coordinator

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk/Coordinator to provide dependable financial and administrative support for a busy accounting team in Miami, Florida. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling invoice activity, payment records, and reporting tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role will work closely with accounts payable and receivable functions while helping maintain accurate documentation and timely financial processing.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming vendor billing for accuracy and enter invoice details into the appropriate system.

• Update payment records, monitor transaction status, and maintain organized financial documentation.

• Compile accounts payable summaries and prepare routine reporting for internal review.

• Assist the Controller with gathering data and formatting financial reports as needed.

• Investigate and help resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and vendor questions.

• Perform data entry, filing, and other clerical support tasks to keep accounting records current and accessible.

• Provide day-to-day assistance across accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to support overall department operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related clerical support role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice handling, and payment tracking.
• Experience with data entry and strong accuracy when managing financial information.
• Basic computer proficiency, including comfort using accounting or financial systems.
• QuickBooks experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Compensation

$21.42-$22.55 Hourly
