Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Fort Pierce, Florida on a Contract basis. This onsite opportunity will provide coverage during a leave period of approximately two months while supporting essential receivables operations. The position offers the chance to contribute to a busy accounting environment with potential for longer-term consideration as the team evolves.

Responsibilities:
• Manage outbound collection efforts by contacting customers regularly to secure timely payment on outstanding balances.
• Prepare and issue invoices accurately while maintaining organized billing records and supporting documentation.
• Process billing activities and monitor account status to help keep receivables current and discrepancies resolved quickly.
• Apply incoming payments and record daily cash activity with attention to accuracy and completeness.
• Use phone-based outreach extensively to follow up on overdue accounts and document collection activity.
• Support overall accounts receivable operations by reviewing account details, researching payment issues, and coordinating with internal teams as needed.
• Work within accounting systems and spreadsheets to track receivables, update records, and produce routine status information.

Qualifications:

• Experience in accounts receivable, including collections, invoicing, and billing support.
• Ability to manage commercial collections in a high-call-volume environment.
• Knowledge of cash application processes and daily cash activity reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial data.
• Familiarity with Acumatica is preferred, though not required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
