Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are reviewed, coded correctly, and processed within established timelines.
• Supervise and support AP staff, providing guidance on workload priorities, accuracy standards, and issue resolution.
• Oversee check run preparation and execution to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on schedule.
• Manage ACH payment activity and confirm electronic transactions are completed in compliance with internal procedures.
• Review invoice coding for proper account allocation and approval alignment before payment processing.
• Monitor aging reports, investigate discrepancies, and work with internal teams and vendors to resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain organized payment documentation and strengthen adherence to financial controls, policies, and audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable efficiency and support updates to workflows or payment processes when needed.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle AP operations, including invoice coding, payment processing, and reconciliation activities.
• Proven experience managing check runs and ACH transactions in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to oversee staff performance, assign priorities, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
• Solid understanding of financial controls, documentation practices, and compliance expectations related to payables.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate payment issues and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors, finance teams, and internal stakeholders.
