Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by documenting transactions, organizing supporting documentation, and keeping accounting data up to date.
• Prepare regular financial summaries and statements to help leadership review company performance and make informed business decisions.
• Support invoicing and payment activities by assisting with accounts receivable follow-up and reviewing accounts payable details for accuracy.
• Help process payroll by verifying compensation information, applying deductions correctly, and maintaining related employee records.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with audit preparation, periodic financial reviews, and the collection of information needed for quarterly and annual reporting.
• Contribute to tax and compliance-related reporting, including certified payroll documentation and workers’ compensation reporting requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to office operations and company leadership to help maintain efficient daily workflows.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; additional education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.• Prior experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting support role with responsibility for financial record maintenance.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and standard accounting software tools.
• Practical experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation activities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and compliance-related documentation requirements.
• Notary status in good standing, or willingness and ability to obtain notary credentials.
Compensation
