Tax Sr. - Corporate

Compensation: $80 to $130 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced tax specialist to join our team in Minnesota. This permanent role supports a diverse client base with tax compliance, planning, and related accounting services across corporate, individual, fiduciary, and estate matters. The ideal candidate brings strong public accounting experience, sound technical judgment, and a client-focused approach to delivering accurate and timely work.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review a variety of tax filings, including corporate, individual, fiduciary, estate, and related compliance documents with a high degree of accuracy.
• Meet directly with clients to discuss tax return details, answer questions, and provide clear guidance on filing matters and planning opportunities.
• Support ongoing tax planning efforts by identifying strategies that align with client goals and current tax regulations.
• Examine financial statements, tax returns, and supporting documents to verify completeness, consistency, and technical accuracy before finalization.
• Research complex tax topics and apply findings to client situations, ensuring work reflects current laws and authoritative guidance.
• Draft and coordinate responses to notices and inquiries from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
• Manage multiple deadlines during peak filing periods while maintaining organized workpapers and dependable client service.
• Contribute to a collaborative practice environment by taking initiative, making informed decisions, and adapting to changing client and regulatory needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of tax experience within a public accounting environment.
• Demonstrated background in corporate tax compliance, with additional exposure to individual, fiduciary, trust and estate, or business tax matters.
• Ability to review tax returns and related documentation while communicating effectively with clients and internal team members.
• Strong research skills with the ability to interpret tax rules and apply them to real-world situations.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organization, and time management abilities.
• Capacity to work independently with limited supervision while showing initiative and sound attention to detail.
• Availability to work additional hours from mid-January through mid-April; CPA license preferred but not required.

Compensation

$80,000.00-$130,000.00 Yearly
