Bookkeeper
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a busy environment. This immediate opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage core bookkeeping activities accurately, maintain organized records, and provide dependable financial reporting. The role calls for someone who is comfortable working independently, adapting to shifting priorities, and using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office tools to keep accounting processes running smoothly. **Please note this is an in-office position in Chattanooga, Tennessee**
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and keeping general bookkeeping data current and well organized.
• Process vendor invoices and payment activity while ensuring accounts payable items are handled promptly and correctly.
• Monitor incoming payments, apply receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances to support effective accounts receivable management.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations on a routine basis to verify balances and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules to assist with timely analysis and informed decision-making.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reviewing account details and helping ensure records are complete.
• Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to track financial activity, analyze data, and produce accurate documentation.
• Assist with payroll-related tasks when needed while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in financial information.

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in an accounting or business setting.
• Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of both accrual-based and cash-based accounting methods.
• Practical experience using QuickBooks for routine bookkeeping and financial record maintenance.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage close activities and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while staying organized in a changing work environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial data and prepare timely, accurate reports.
