HR Generalist

San Diego, CA 92121, US Temporary
Compensation: $26 to $29 Hourly

Our client in the nonprofit space is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions. This role will assist with employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, recruiting support, and HR operations while helping foster a mission-driven and collaborative workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day human resources operations and employee relations
  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and new hire documentation
  • Administer employee records, HRIS updates, and personnel file maintenance
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries
  • Support recruiting efforts, interview scheduling, and hiring coordination
  • Help ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and HR procedures
  • Assist with performance management processes, training coordination, and policy communication
  • Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and other documentation as needed



Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role
  • Knowledge of HR practices including onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred
  • Exposure to performance management, recruitment, or benefits coordination preferred



Compensation

$26.00-$29.00 Hourly
