Attorney

A growing plaintiff-side consumer litigation firm is seeking California-licensed attorneys to join its remote Associate Attorney program on a contract-to-hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys interested in developing litigation and advocacy skills through frequent deposition and hearing appearances while working in a fully remote environment.

The position begins with a structured training and onboarding program designed to prepare attorneys for a high-volume litigation practice focused on depositions, court appearances, and case advocacy. Attorneys from a wide variety of practice backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

• Full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity
• 100% remote work environment

Compensation

• $40/hour during the initial training and contract phase
• Upon conversion:
• $155,000 annual base salary
• Additional $12,000 timekeeping incentive following training completion
• Comprehensive benefits package
• Annual billable requirement of 2,000 hours

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct approximately 5–7 depositions per week
• Appear at virtual court hearings and other litigation proceedings
• Review case materials and prepare for witness examinations and appearances
• Manage and organize case documents through document management systems
• Utilize electronic filing platforms and remote court access tools
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records
• Edit, redact, and finalize litigation documents and exhibits in PDF format
• Participate in virtual meetings and proceedings using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and similar platforms

Qualifications:

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Open to attorneys from all practice areas and levels of litigation experience
• Ability to work standard Pacific Time business hours
• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
• Comfortable learning new software and legal technology platforms

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Word, including legal document formatting
• Microsoft Outlook and email management
• Microsoft PowerPoint for creating and editing presentations
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms and electronic document workflows
