Release of Information Specialist
We are in the process of recruiting a Release of Information Specialist to join our team based in Henderson, NV. This role focuses on the accurate and timely release of information following strict adherence to laws and organizational policies. The successful candidate will utilize electronic health record systems to manage, prepare, and distribute medical records. This is a short-term contract opportunity with a focus on medical records and HIPAA compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process a significant amount of records in compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies
• Validate requests for medical records to ensure proper authorization and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for the preparation and distribution of requested records
• Maintain a comprehensive log of records released, ensuring confidentiality throughout the process
• Act as a point of contact for patients, providers, and third-party requestors to clarify documentation and resolve inquiries
• Uphold the highest standards of quality and accuracy throughout the record release process.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Release of Information Specialist.
• Proficient in EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
• Demonstrable knowledge of EHR Systems.
• Ability to handle and process Patient Medical Records.
• Familiarity with HIPAA Compliance and Patient Privacy Rules.
• Understanding of HIPAA-Regulated environments.
• Experience in the management and release of Electronic Medical Records.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
• Competency in using various software for managing Medical Records.
Compensation
