Faculty.Professor.Assistant - Full-Time
The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery is hiring an Assistant Professor in the Appointment Stream.
The successful applicant will be expected to lead educational efforts within the department as well as engage in clinical and/or basic research. The successful applicant will also provide general neurosurgery care at UPMC and will have the opportunity to work closely with the spine team in caring for patients with traumatic spine injury, in addition to degenerative and deformity patients. The successful applicant would benefit to have an interest in spinal cord injury research. This academic appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level, outside the tenure stream and commensurate with the applicant's background and academic productivity. Candidates should also be board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery in the United States. M.D. PA license or able to obtain PA license along with all necessary clearances (Act 33/34/72).
Minimum education to be considered for this position is an MD.
