Position Summary
This position is an Adjunct Instructor position in the Geography Academic Area in the School of Earth, Environment, and Society for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The usual courses our pool of adjunct instructors teach are 100- and 200-level geography courses taken mainly by undergraduate students at Portland State University. For Fall, Winter and Spring Term 2026, we are looking for the expertise to teach 300/400/500 level courses in Global Water Issues and Sustainability, Climate and Water Resources, and GIS for Water Resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in geography, GIS, physical and environmental sciences, or a closely related field OR years of relevant experience in a professional field.
Must be a resident of Oregon or SW Washington.


Preferred Qualifications
Preferably a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in geography, physical and environmental sciences, or closely related fields.
