Senior Manager, Growth Strategy

You’ll partner closely with Growth leadership and cross-functional Pod teams to drive focused execution, inform key decisions, and build the financial, strategic, and analytical foundation required to deliver high-quality innovation outcomes!
We are seeking a Growth Strategy Senior Manager in Richmond, VA to join our FEI Commercial team, but are open to a remote work arrangement. This position will play a substantial role supporting the Growth Leader and Growth Commercial Leader. This role focuses on building a robust innovation portfolio developed to support sustained growth objectives. Guide Pod teams through key decisions, develop cases, define success criteria, and assess risks.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting innovation strategy development: Contributing to company planning, including financial goals aligned to long-term growth plans.
- Leading portfolio performance tracking: Maintaining and presenting dashboards that provide access to project health, portfolio strength, and organizational priorities for leadership.
- Developing cases and benchmarks: Building and updating project arguments and success benchmarks to ensure concepts are financially viable and competitive.
- Collaborating on financial modeling and assumptions: Partnering across Pod teams and go-to-market functions to ensure cases reflect key inputs, risks, and assumptions.
- Assessing financial feasibility: Evaluating BOM, capital, and unit costs with Product Development, Design, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
- Developing demand forecasts: Working with Marketing to model investment required to scale new brands or categories.
- Modeling distribution strategies: Partnering with go-to-market teams to evaluate commercialization pathways.
- Supporting stage-gate transitions: Ensuring smooth transitions to operating companies with clear success criteria.
- Leveraging test market insights: Incorporate incubation market findings into financial models and define key performance metrics.
- Supporting risk assessment: Help identify and evaluate project risks as new findings emerge.
We want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years in Finance Leadership and Financial Analysis, with 5+ years in CPG innovation.
- 5+ years of leading a team and developing a high-performance cross-functional organization with strong communication skills.
- Strong financial proficiency, ideally with experience owning or having accountability to the P&L and in modeling out financial scenarios.
- Experience working in consumer brands to design and model innovation that built categories or disrupted categories.
- Experience conducting financial analysis and case development across various business model types (Make, Partner, License, etc).
- Experience developing innovation programs and assessing early-stage validation of its projects.
- Strong ability to guide and coach financial concepts to cross-functional partners and peers of all levels.
- Hands-on experience with Agile innovation: defining critical questions, testing hypotheses, and making recommendations based on results to strengthen the portfolio and focus limited resources.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and adapting learning, forecasting, and landscaping as new information emerges.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $132,500.00 - $202,100.00.
