Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial insight for the business. This role is ideal for an accountant who can manage general ledger activity, contribute to close processes, and translate financial data into meaningful analysis. The position also works closely with cross-functional partners to strengthen reporting quality, maintain compliance, and improve overall accounting efficiency. This is a part-time role - around 25 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of general ledger records.

• Support monthly and annual close activities by completing assigned accounting tasks on schedule and helping produce reliable financial statements.

• Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.

• Analyze financial results and explain variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods to support decision-making.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by compiling data, validating assumptions, and updating financial models.

• Partner with teams across the organization to improve data accuracy, streamline accounting workflows, and strengthen reporting processes.

• Help maintain internal control standards and provide documentation required for audits and compliance reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

• 5–8 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to financial reporting, general ledger management, and close activities.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries, complete reconciliations, and support accurate month-end reporting.

• Strong analytical skills with experience identifying variances, improving processes, and increasing reporting accuracy.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint is beneficial.

• Experience using cloud-based ERP systems.

• Solid understanding of internal controls, audit support, and compliance-focused accounting practices.

Compensation

$70,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
