Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices and ensure billing records are accurate, complete, and issued on schedule.
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts and resolve discrepancies related to remittances or unapplied cash.
• Monitor aging reports and conduct commercial collections outreach to obtain payment on overdue balances.
• Research account issues, investigate short payments, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to support timely resolution.
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection activity, payment status, and account updates within receivables records.
• Reconcile account balances and assist with routine reviews to confirm the accuracy of outstanding receivables.
• Support cash collection efforts by communicating professionally with customers regarding open invoices and payment expectations.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.• Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including billing, cash applications, and payment posting.
• Experience handling commercial collections and communicating with customers about overdue accounts.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, research account activity, and resolve routine payment issues accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in standard office and accounting software used for receivables tracking and documentation.
