Inventory Manager

Charlotte, NC 28273, US Temporary
Compensation: $23.75 to $27.50 Hourly

We are looking for an Inventory Manager to support warehouse and inventory operations for a metal fabrication environment in South Charlotte, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can keep materials organized, maintain accurate stock records, and help ensure products move through the facility efficiently. The role will partner with warehouse, scheduling, and operations teams to improve control processes, support daily shipping needs, and uphold a safe, well-organized workspace.


Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities across receiving, storage, inventory handling, and outbound material flow to keep operations running smoothly.

• Monitor stock availability and organize materials so items are properly positioned and ready to meet shipping and production demands.

• Review system-generated reports and coordinate with scheduling personnel to align inventory activity with daily order fulfillment priorities.

• Track and reconcile inventory movements between sites to maintain accurate records across facilities.

• Enter incoming material information into the database promptly and verify data accuracy for inventory control purposes.

• Lead cycle count and inventory review efforts, identify discrepancies or obsolete stock, and support stronger inventory practices and controls.

• Raise operational, staffing, or safety concerns to leadership in a timely manner to minimize disruption and maintain efficiency.

• Help maintain the warehouse environment by evaluating layout effectiveness, inspecting equipment, and coordinating maintenance or repair needs.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven background in inventory control within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office applications for reporting, tracking, and daily operational tasks.
• Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory tracking processes.
• Ability to manage physical inventory activities, including cycle counts and annual inventory reviews.
• Familiarity with logistics and transportation coordination is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
