Receiving Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Review incoming shipment documents against purchase orders and confirm item details, quantities, and receipt accuracy before recording transactions.
• Enter received materials into the company inventory system and maintain dependable records that align physical stock with system data.
• Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse leadership to plan and schedule inbound deliveries for the facility.
• Identify and communicate issues such as damaged shipments, missing documentation, quantity variances, or other receiving discrepancies to the appropriate stakeholders without delay.
• Support inventory control activities by assisting with cycle counts, stock verification, and reconciliation of inventory differences.
• Process and organize logistics-related documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading, to ensure complete and accurate records.
• Provide additional support within warehouse or plant operations when needed to help maintain workflow and receiving efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory coordination within an industrial or manufacturing environment.• Ability to compare receiving documentation with purchase orders and recognize discrepancies in quantities, items, or condition.
• Working knowledge of inventory control practices and material receipt procedures.
• Comfortable handling logistics paperwork and maintaining accurate transaction records in a computerized system.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and communicate issues clearly to purchasing and warehouse teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety expectations and secure material handling practices.
Compensation
