Senior HR Generalist (Part-Time Contract)

Location: Lynnwood/Shoreline Area, WA

Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

Duration: Approximately 6 months, with potential for longer-term opportunities

Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite with flexibility for a hybrid schedule over time

Pay Rate: Up to $31.25/hour

About the Opportunity

A mission-driven organization is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to provide hands-on human resources support during a period of organizational transition and growth. This role will partner closely with leadership and an emerging HR team member to ensure continuity of HR operations while helping drive key strategic initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing project-based work with day-to-day employee support in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and transition to a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Partner with leadership to facilitate HR process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including coaching managers and assisting with employee concerns
  • Help establish and document HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Washington State regulations
  • Assist with organizational change initiatives and workforce planning efforts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve HR processes and employee experience
  • Provide general HR support as needed across multiple work locations



Qualifications:

•Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Generalist or Senior HR Generalist capacity
  • Strong understanding of Washington State employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting HRIS implementations, system conversions, or major HR technology projects
  • Proven employee relations experience, including conflict resolution and manager coaching
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience supporting blue-collar, retail, warehouse, manufacturing, hospitality, restaurant, or other non-corporate workforces
  • Experience driving process improvement initiatives
  • Prior experience supporting organizational transitions or change management efforts
