Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables activity for a busy onsite team in Tolleson, Arizona. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who learns quickly, stays organized, and brings prior experience handling billing, payment posting, and commercial collections. The person in this role will help maintain accurate account records, follow up on outstanding balances, and contribute to steady cash flow through timely account management.

Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records in a timely manner.
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up with commercial clients regarding past-due balances.
• Communicate with customers to resolve billing questions, payment issues, and account concerns professionally.
• Reconcile account activity to ensure transactions are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
• Support cash collection efforts by tracking outstanding invoices and escalating issues when needed.
• Assist with updates to receivable processes or systems as assigned while maintaining continuity in daily operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a closely related accounting support role.
• Hands-on experience with billing, cash applications, and commercial collections.
• Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing financial records and account activity.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for customer follow-up and issue resolution.
• Proficiency with standard office and accounting software used for receivables processing.
• Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Tolleson, Arizona.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
