Billing Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Create and issue customer invoices with accuracy and within established timelines.
• Examine contracts, service details, and backup documentation to confirm correct billing before submission.
• Maintain current and well-organized billing information in the company’s accounting platform.
• Support project cost monitoring by preparing cost sheets and assisting with profitability and P& L-related tracking.
• Follow invoice progress and address customer questions related to charges, statements, and payment concerns.
• Scan, categorize, and electronically store accounting documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including applying payments and helping with account follow-up activities.
• Review timesheet-related information and provide administrative support for routine accounting workflows.
• Uphold record accuracy, meet reporting deadlines, and assist the accounting team with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience handling billing activities, invoicing, and customer account support in an accounting or administrative environment.• Knowledge of billing systems and computerized invoicing processes.
• Familiarity with billing statements, collections support, and payment application procedures.
• Working experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of data accurately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for responding to billing questions professionally.
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
