Business Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
• Lead department budgeting activities, review financial reports for accuracy, investigate variances, and recommend corrections or funding adjustments when needed.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc performance reports that highlight spending trends, budget risks, cost-control opportunities, and areas of underspend.
• Support workforce administration by tracking staffing levels, assisting with recruitment coordination, and advising leadership on applicable policies and procedures.
• Oversee vendor-related activities, including invoice review, payment coordination, and follow-up to resolve billing issues.
• Manage departmental supplies and inventory, coordinate equipment distribution, and assist with periodic reviews of technology and operational assets.
• Organize department projects by maintaining timelines, arranging meetings, monitoring progress, and ensuring documentation is complete throughout each phase.
• Partner with managers to align operational resources with business needs and promote efficient use of department funds and materials.
• Handle additional administrative and operational assignments as required to support departmental goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, finance, administration, or a closely related area.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and perform variance analysis with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience supporting HR administration, staffing coordination, or recruitment-related processes within an organizational setting.
• Strong knowledge of business operations, fiscal practices, and administrative procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Visio, and Project.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands, solve complex operational issues, and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven skill in planning projects, coordinating resources, and maintaining organized records and reports.
Compensation
