Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Administer complete payroll processing for approximately 1,500 employees, ensuring timely and accurate pay each cycle.
• Execute multi-state payroll activities while applying applicable wage, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Manage weekly payroll runs from data review through final submission and post-payroll validation.
• Reconcile payroll records, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues related to pay, deductions, and taxes.
• Maintain detailed payroll tracking and reporting to support accuracy, audits, and internal review.
• Support payroll activities across the full employee lifecycle, including updates affecting compensation and deductions.
• Use payroll platforms such as Paycom and Rippling to process transactions, maintain records, and improve efficiency.
• Assist with payroll-related transition work involving Rippling as part of ongoing operational support.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of payroll experience with direct responsibility for end-to-end payroll processing.• Proven ability to manage payroll for large employee populations, including environments with more than 500 employees.
• Experience processing payroll across multiple states with a strong understanding of related compliance requirements.
• Hands-on knowledge of weekly payroll cycles, reconciliations, and payroll record maintenance.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and software, including experience with Paycom and/or Rippling.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing payroll data, deductions, and tax-related information.
• Ability to organize payroll workflows, track processing status, and meet strict deadlines in a contract assignment.
