Revenue Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical GL Accountant to support a high-impact data cleanup and reconciliation initiative. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into complex datasets, identifying discrepancies, and building structure within accounting processes. This contract position is hybrid 1-2 days onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-volume balance sheet and bank/GL reconciliations, including clean-up of historical discrepancies and unreconciled items
- Perform detailed review and reconciliation of high-volume claims invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and alignment to supporting documentation
- Investigate variances and aged reconciling items, partnering cross-functionally to validate transactions and execute corrective entries
- Support month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and flux analysis to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Strengthen reconciliation processes and documentation, maintaining audit-ready schedules and providing visibility into status, risks, and resolution progress
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Senior GL Accountant, with strong ownership of general ledger activities and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and SQL required; exposure to Looker or similar BI tools is a plus
- Prior experience in healthcare or health tech environments preferred, with an understanding of industry-specific accounting nuances OR start up experience and able to handle ambiguity
- Advanced Excel skills required, including the ability to manage large datasets using formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
