Payroll Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a growing team in Boca Raton. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing high-volume payroll accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multi-state payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payroll for a large employee population
• Manage high-volume payroll transactions with accuracy and timeliness
• Review and audit payroll data, including timekeeping records, earnings, deductions, and taxes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Process payroll adjustments, garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and employee status changes
• Maintain payroll records and support payroll reporting requirements
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2 preparation, and year-end processing
• Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
• Support audits and special payroll-related projects as needed

• On-site in Boca Raton, FL

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing high-volume payroll required
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred
• Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or ADP preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including reporting and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
• Experience supporting payroll for 500+ employees
• Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems
