Accounting Manager
Our client in the education industry is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support financial reporting, and help ensure accurate and timely month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger oversight and account reconciliations
- Supervise month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules
- Monitor internal controls and support compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account discrepancies
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams on financial reporting and process improvements
- Support audit preparation and coordinate requested documentation
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred
- Experience in the education industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
