Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a Graphic Designer / Multimedia Specialist to support Corporate Communications efforts at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD). The selected candidate will develop high quality visual and multimedia products that clearly communicate complex technical, engineering, and mission focused information to internal and external audiences in a DoD environment.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality video and audio in support of test events, command ceremonies, training content, and public affairs initiatives.
- Support pre-production planning by partnering with engineers, subject matter experts, and leadership to develop storyboards, scripts, shot lists, and production timelines.
- Perform post-production activities including video editing, audio mastering, color grading, and motion graphics development using Adobe Creative Cloud or similar toolsets.
- Design digital graphics, visual aids, technical illustrations, and multimedia products for presentations, briefings, reports, and web-based platforms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot cameras, lighting systems, audio equipment, and editing workstations to ensure mission ready status.
- Organize and archive digital media assets in accordance with DoD records management and retention policies.
- Ensure all visual and multimedia products comply with OPSEC, INFOSEC, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements, coordinating with Public Affairs as required prior to release.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in graphic design and/or multimedia production.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start.
- Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Hands-on experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in videography and image editing.
- Practical experience operating DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema camera systems, including lighting setups and field audio capture.
- Comfortable working in operational or industrial environments (e.g., laboratories, test ranges, or similar settings).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling visual content.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $72,000 to $98,000 (annually).
