Role Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance Measurement, as the Corporate Accountant and Financial Analyst, you will support the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. The analyst will also assist in internal and external audits, maintain financial controls, and help ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

The Corporate Accountant and Financial Analyst also plays a critical role in supporting the company's financial planning, forecasting, and analysis efforts. This position will provide insights into business performance, help develop budgets, track key metrics, and assist in strategic decision-making by delivering accurate financial reports and modeling. In addition to evaluating historical financial data, the analyst will assess future trends, identify risks and opportunities, and offer actionable recommendations to drive growth and operational efficiency.
In This Role, You Will
- Work with other Corporate Financial Analysts on the team to perform the monthly financial close within established timeframes which includes the following responsibilities:
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts including journal entries for US entities
- Key contributor in accounting for Contract Interiors and Architectural Solutions, utilizing NetSuite and Oracle Cloud
- Reconcile selected measures within the Global Data Warehouse
- Review the US reporting package and analyze specific accounts for reasonableness and accuracy; compare budgeted to actual amounts.
- Review reporting packages from foreign subsidiaries that are consolidated into the global financial statements and follow up with foreign teams on outstanding questions.
- Work with others on the team to perform and review the monthly global consolidation including elimination entries and review of intercompany transactions
- Assist financial controllers in subsidiary locations with use of general ledger system for monthly close and financial report writing.
- Support the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and the long-term strategic plan.
- Participate in the annual financial statement audit by working with the external auditors to provide an understanding of processes and supporting documentation for various accounts as well as prepare financial statement footnotes and provide supporting documentation.
- Prepare reports, financial models and analyze data for projects requested by the executive leadership team.
- Maintain financial reports in general ledger system for changes in cost center and account structure.
- Participate in systems implementations.
- Assist in acquisition due diligence reviews and internal audit reviews.
- Evaluate and interpret operational and financial results using analytical and reporting tools to identify problems and trends.
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, CPA is a plus
- At least 2 years experience of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably for a manufacturer or consumer products company.
- Advanced Excel skills including development of financial models
- Strong understanding of accounting principals, financial statements, and corporate budgeting
- Knowledge of general ledger maintenance and functionalities
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Oracle (use of Oracle for accounting and analysis).
- Need to be very organized and have good time management skills.
The hiring range for this position in in Itasca is $80,000 - $90,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
