Infrastructure / Cloud Lead (Local Development Centre)
Description
Leidos is seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Cloud Lead to support the Local Development Centre (LDC) in Singapore. This role provides technical leadership for cloud platform design, infrastructure automation, environment provisioning, and operational engineering while working closely with customer engineers in a collaborative capability-building environment.
The successful candidate will establish cloud infrastructure standards, drive platform automation and reliability practices, support deployment and configuration of production and non-production environments, and contribute to long-term engineering capability development through mentoring, knowledge transfer, and hands-on collaboration.

Infrastructure / Cloud Lead Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and operation of cloud and infrastructure platforms supporting development, testing, and production environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to infrastructure and cloud engineers within the LDC.
- Establish infrastructure engineering standards, operational processes, and platform best practices.
- Drive co-development activities with customer engineers and support knowledge-transfer initiatives.
- Collaborate with software, DevSecOps, systems integration, test, and reliability engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support infrastructure automation, configuration management, environment provisioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Participate in technical planning, architecture reviews, risk management, and delivery activities.
- Ensure infrastructure platforms meet security, reliability, availability, and performance requirements.
- Champion modern cloud engineering, automation, and platform engineering practices to improve operational efficiency and engineering productivity.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or systems administration.
- Experience leading infrastructure or cloud engineering teams on complex technology programs, working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure architecture, networking, security, and operational support.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud deployment practices.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting knowledge transfer, workforce development, training, technical capability development.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience leading co-development teams involving customers, partners, or contractor personnel.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, container platforms, CI/CD, and operational monitoring solutions.
- Cloud-related certifications are desirable.
- Experience working in regulated, mission-critical, or highly available operational environments.
- Aviation, transportation, defense, government, or critical infrastructure domain experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in English and one or more regional languages is desirable.
- Candidates with existing authorization to work in Singapore.
