NATO BMD Senior Test Engineer

Leidos is looking for a Mid-Test engineer to support the Integration and Test (I&T) team within our international team in The Hague, Netherlands, in support of the NATO Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) Systems Engineering & Integration and Test (SEIT) contract.
This effort supports the execution of BMD test verification activities, exercises, and integration test bed operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Engineering Lead as required to lead and perform project test and exercise related activities. Candidate will be expected to participate and support the execution of tests and exercise of varying scope and complexity, as determined by the Engineering Lead and approved by the NATO customer. Supporting efforts may include maintaining project schedules, estimating test efforts, working with systems engineering tools, and interfacing with customers, users, product developers, and other stakeholders.
The above activities involve generation of documentation in UK English, as well as communicating with programme office personnel, stakeholders, and National Representatives in conferences and meetings in UK English. Travel is expected to be about 20%.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college, and 15 years’ experience in systems engineering and integration; or a Masters and 12 years’ experience.
Must have a current active NATO Secret level security clearance. Top Secret preferred.
High ability in speaking, writing, and understanding English is essential. All on-site work will be conducted in English. All personnel working on-site shall have a minimum required level of English language of SLP3333 as defined in NATO STANAG 6001.
Demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic, works well within an engineering team, mission oriented, and takes personal pride in work.
Eagerness to collaborate with multinational stakeholders, system architects, engineers, and operational users
Willingness to lead and serve as an independent contributor in the daily activities of small technical teams
Required skills are as follows:
Understanding and familiarity of the BMD domain and operational events
Experience in communication requirements verification such as JREAP, Link-16, DIS, HLA as examples with the technical experience to be a strong independent contributor
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex TDL system and network issues
Ability to conduct link system performance assessments using a variety of COTS/GOTS C2 systems and tools such as TDACS, LMMT, NSITE, JRE
Experience with allocating requirements to test, development of test plans, test cases, architectures and test procedures
Experience with performing tests, collecting results, and conducting analysis of the test results
Deep understanding of TDL standards publications such as STANAG 5516, STANAG 5518, STANAG 5522, and APP 11 (E)
Experience in communicating readiness statuses and briefing post mission results to Customers
Desired skills are as follows:
Experience with the NATO BMD architecture and operational test activities
Experience in the configuration of operational networks supporting BMD and/or IAMD events/activities
Experience in verifying requirements such as WAN/LAN, voice and satellite communications (SATCOM) on an operational architecture/domain
Knowledge of link budget analysis and TDMA/FDMA/CDMA
Completion of JT-101, JT-102, and JT-201 courses.
Development of OPTASKLINKs and network libraries utilized in operational events
Experience deriving Task Orders, deliverables and tasks in coordination with Customers
Experience with operating toolsets such as Jira, TestRail, Wireshark

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
