What will you do in this role?

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role where you will serve as a technical subject matter expert for our CMDB, a dedicated people manager for our team, and the Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for the contract.

Program & People Management Responsibilities:

  • Deputy Program Management: Assist the Program Manager (PM) with overall contract execution, strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Customer Engagement: Serve as a secondary point of contact for USCENTCOM leadership and stakeholders, acting as the PM in their absence to ensure seamless program delivery.

  • People Leadership: Directly manage a team of IT and data professionals, carrying out full HR supervisory duties including performance evaluations, career development planning, mentoring, and timecard/leave approval.

  • Staffing & Onboarding: Oversee the hiring, interviewing, and onboarding processes to maintain a highly skilled and capable workforce.

  • Program Reporting: Assist in evaluating contracts, managing programmatic budgets or resource forecasts, and effectively communicating insights, risks, and plans to cross-functional team members and senior management.

Technical & CMDB Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures within enterprise processes.

  • Analyze data and research issues through the use of SQL and other query tools.

  • Perform rigorous Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle management of IT services and assets, from deployment through to decommission.

  • Decompose significantly complex problems into straightforward solutions.

  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or personal initiative with an eye for driving performance and investigating and communicating findings to stakeholders.

  • Define and document CI metrics throughout their lifecycle.

  • Gather critical information from multiple stakeholders to specify and validate business reporting or data extracts using data mapping and data quality techniques.

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions using data analysis and data profiling.

  • Establish, implement, and develop overarching Configuration Management (CM) procedures and compliance standards, establishing responsibilities, authorities, and plan approval levels.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field of study is preferred, with a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in data analysis, data science, configuration management, or related IT programs.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance. (Note: Added based on the standard requirement for USCENTCOM CITS roles).

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Program & People Management: 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role managing technical personnel and assisting with program/project management tasks.

  • 5+ years of related experience in Configuration Management.

  • 5+ years with ServiceNow, to include specific experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) administration/integration.

  • Demonstrated capability in ensuring quality, accuracy, and usability of the ServiceNow CMDB.

  • Ability to work in concert with the ServiceNow Administrators.

  • Ability to configure/integrate discovery tools and Sensors with ServiceNow CMDB to import data from authoritative data sources while ensuring data integrity.

  • Experience/Participation in data normalization efforts as needed prior to ingestion into CMDB.

  • Ability to perform routine audits of CMDB data.

  • Demonstrated experience working with internal and external stakeholders to understand product demand and help manage CMDB and platform data requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundation certification is highly desired.

  • Prior experience acting as a functional lead, DPM, or PM on a DoD enterprise IT contract.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
