Accounts Receivable Clerk

Our client in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This is an excellent entry-level role for a recent accounting graduate who is eager to get their foot in the door and build a strong foundation in accounting and finance.

This position offers hands-on training and the chance to work alongside an experienced team, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with posting customer payments
• Prepare and send invoices to clients
• Monitor accounts for outstanding balances
• Follow up on past-due accounts via phone and email
• Reconcile accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records and update customer account information
• Support the accounting team with additional administrative and clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to learn and grow within an accounting department
