Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Review incoming vendor invoices for completeness and accuracy before processing them for payment
• Prepare invoices for approval by documenting receipt dates and ensuring supporting details are in order
• Coordinate with business owners or authorized approvers to obtain payment authorization before checks are issued
• Create checks for approved invoices and match payment documentation to the correct records
• Record accounts payable activity in the general ledger and assign expenses to the appropriate accounts
• Maintain organized financial paperwork so completed payment packets can be scanned, filed, and tracked efficiently
• Enter numeric and financial data into accounting records with a high level of precision
• Support the full accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt through final payment distribution
Qualifications:
• Experience in bookkeeping with a strong emphasis on accounts payable processing• Working knowledge of general ledger concepts and account coding
• Ability to review and process approved invoices with a high degree of accuracy
• Proficiency with data entry, including numeric entry in financial records
• Familiarity with preparing checks and maintaining supporting payment documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established approval workflows
• Ability to organize records and manage multiple invoices in a timely manner
