HR Generalist

Compensation: $26 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support a construction organization on a short-term contract assignment. This role is well suited for someone who can step in quickly, manage competing priorities, and provide dependable administrative and operational HR support with minimal ramp-up time. The position calls for someone with strong attention to detail who is comfortable working hands-on with records, scheduling, reporting, and day-to-day employee support activities.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain organized personnel records and HR documentation to support accurate, accessible, and compliant file management
• Coordinate onboarding activities by arranging orientation sessions and communicating schedules to new hires and internal stakeholders
• Provide broad HR administrative support across daily operations, helping ensure timely completion of routine and priority tasks
• Review employee files, accounts, and related records to identify discrepancies and improve data accuracy
• Generate routine reports from spreadsheets and HR or accounting systems to support operational visibility and decision-making
• Update and track employee information in Excel and other platforms with a high level of precision and follow-through
• Assist with short-term projects that improve workflow efficiency, clean up records, or strengthen HR processes during the assignment
• Partner with the team to keep HR activities moving smoothly in a fast-paced construction environment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an HR Generalist or closely related human resources support role
• Strong understanding of HR administration, employee documentation, and onboarding coordination
• Demonstrated ability to organize records and maintain accurate confidential files
• Proficiency with Excel and confidence using HRIS or other business systems to manage data and reporting
• Experience reviewing records or accounts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results with limited supervision
• Clear and direct communication skills, along with a dependable and highly organized work style
• Exposure to employee relations, benefit-related support, or general HR operations is preferred

Compensation

$26.00-$26.00 Hourly
