Desktop Support Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance for desktops, servers, and network-connected systems through both remote troubleshooting and in-person support.
• Maintain and support client infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, backup platforms, and other business-critical equipment.
• Administer Microsoft-based environments across on-premises and cloud platforms, including server technologies, Microsoft 365, and Azure-integrated solutions.
• Take part in technical initiatives and, when needed, guide project activities to ensure smooth execution and reliable outcomes.
• Escalate and resolve advanced support issues while working closely with colleagues to share knowledge and improve service delivery.
• Educate end users on effective use of computers, business applications, servers, and shared network resources.
• Contribute recommendations that help strengthen service offerings, support processes, and overall client experience.
• Handle occasional physical setup and movement of IT hardware such as computers, peripherals, and boxed equipment.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or systems support within IT environments.• Microsoft certification in server or related technologies, or an associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Strong experience working with Microsoft Server domain environments, including Windows Server 2016 or later.
• Hands-on knowledge of Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, and hybrid identity or infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency supporting Windows desktop operating systems, including modern enterprise versions such as Windows 11.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 Business services and Microsoft Office 2021 or newer applications.
• Solid troubleshooting ability across workstations, IP networking, and core infrastructure components such as firewalls, switches, and routers.
