VP Accounting
Responsibilities:
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial results.
• Lead preparation and review of external and internal financial reports, including public company reporting requirements and audit-ready documentation.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on revenue recognition and lease accounting matters, with particular focus on ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Manage and develop accounting staff, setting clear expectations, mentoring team members, and promoting strong operational performance.
• Oversee audit support activities by coordinating schedules, preparing reconciliations, and responding to requests from external auditors.
• Strengthen accounting controls, balance sheet reconciliations, and close procedures through effective use of tools such as BlackLine.
• Partner with executive leadership to analyze accounting implications, improve reporting quality, and support business decision-making.
• Contribute to financial systems and process optimization, including work involving Workday Financials and related accounting workflows within the organization.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibility in corporate or technical accounting functions.• Active CPA designation is required.
• Strong background in financial reporting, financial statement audits, and public company reporting.
• Demonstrated expertise in applying accounting guidance for SaaS businesses, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Experience leading month-end close in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with BlackLine and familiarity with Workday-related platforms, including Workday Financials, HRIS, Payroll, or PICOF.
• Proven ability to lead teams, communicate with senior stakeholders, and translate technical accounting issues into practical business actions.
