Litigation Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Prepare litigation documents, including subpoenas and related case paperwork, with accuracy and attention to court requirements.
• Coordinate service of process and oversee the collection of records and other case-related documentation from outside parties.
• Submit pleadings and other legal documents through state and federal e-filing systems in a timely and compliant manner.
• Provide ongoing support to attorneys handling personal injury matters from case opening through trial readiness.
• Monitor case activity, maintain litigation calendars, and track deadlines to help ensure matters stay on schedule.
• Organize files, update case information, and handle procedural and administrative tasks for a high-volume caseload.
• Communicate with courts, vendors, and internal team members to facilitate smooth case progression and document handling.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a litigation legal assistant or similar legal support role.• Prior experience supporting civil litigation matters, ideally within a personal injury practice.
• Working knowledge of California civil procedure and court filing requirements.
• Hands-on experience with state and federal e-filing systems and court submissions.
• Strong calendar management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow established workflows consistently.
• Proficiency in managing court filings, case documentation, and day-to-day litigation support tasks.
