Software Developer

We are looking for a Software Developer to join a healthcare-focused team in Texas. This contract opportunity is ideal for a full stack developer who enjoys building and supporting web-based applications with a strong emphasis on .NET technologies, database development, and front-end user interfaces. In this role, you will contribute to application design, development, troubleshooting, and ongoing system improvement while partnering with technical teams and business users. You will also help ensure reliable production support, clear documentation, and high-quality solution delivery across assigned projects.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain application solutions for web-based systems in a healthcare environment using .NET and related technologies.
• Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve complex application defects to maintain stable system performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs, evaluate solution options, and translate requirements into effective technical designs.
• Participate in project planning activities, deliver assigned development tasks, and work closely with team leads to support successful project execution.
• Validate completed solutions through structured testing and quality checks to confirm accuracy, functionality, and readiness for deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for new development, system updates, testing outcomes, and operational procedures in support of change control standards.
• Provide guidance and assistance to internal users and information systems staff by answering questions, sharing technical knowledge, and supporting issue resolution.
• Monitor assigned production applications, support scheduled processing activities, and take part in on-call support responsibilities when needed.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and system concerns to management and key partners to support timely decision-making and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent software development experience in a full stack or application development role.
• Hands-on experience with VB.Net, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio in a Microsoft development environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database management, querying, and development support across multiple versions.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with front-end web application development, XML, Ajax, API development, and general UI-focused programming concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot application issues, analyze technical problems effectively, and produce clear technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in Agile or Scrum-based development environments.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, GitHub, and bug tracking platforms is preferred.

Compensation

$42.75-$49.50 Hourly
