Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key accounting operations for a manufacturing environment. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage complex financial activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely reporting. The role will play an important part in close processes, balance sheet integrity, and day-to-day general ledger accounting.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly and periodic close activities to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and record journal entries while maintaining proper supporting documentation and accounting accuracy.
• Oversee general ledger activity, review account balances, and investigate discrepancies as they arise.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances to support reliable financial reporting.
• Complete bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Partner with internal teams to gather financial information and improve the efficiency of accounting workflows.
• Support reporting needs by analyzing financial data and helping maintain compliance with internal accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including work in a senior-level accounting capacity.
• Hands-on expertise with month-end close processes in a corporate or manufacturing setting.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Proven experience performing account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Compensation

$42.75-$49.50 Hourly
