Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities:

• Participate in the monthly close process, handling all aspects of the accounting cycle.

• Analyze and explain variances related to division activities to support accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with sales and use tax compliance, including timely filing and documentation.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Contribute to the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and supporting auditors.

• Execute daily cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.

• Conduct cost accounting tasks such as analyzing labor efficiencies and monitoring company overhead expenditures.

• Perform flux analysis on major expense accounts to assist with monthly financial performance reviews.

• Utilize data management tools, including Microsoft Excel, to organize and analyze financial information.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in accounting/finance/related field
2. CPA required
3. 3+ years' experience with true GL (JEs, reconciliations, balance sheet ownership,) and the close
4. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting experience preferred
5. Sales & use tax and inventory cycle count experience a plus
6. MS Dynamics (GP) a plus
7. Advanced Excel required (ptabs, sum ifs, vlups etc)
8. Someone career minded looking to grow and learn

Compensation

$75,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
