Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support core accounting operations for a long-term contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a finance specialist with broker-dealer experience who can oversee close activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure reliable financial reporting. The position offers the chance to contribute hands-on across daily accounting functions while partnering with stakeholders to keep processes organized and compliant.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are completed accurately.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to support timely processing and proper documentation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support audit preparation by organizing schedules, documentation, and responses related to financial statement reviews.
• Monitor accounting transactions and reporting processes to promote accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal partners to address accounting issues and improve day-to-day financial operations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Prior broker-dealer experience is required.
• Strong background in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and related documentation requests.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Compensation

$66.50-$77.00 Hourly
