Manager of Applications Development
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, execution, and support of application development efforts across business-critical systems serving financial, clinical, administrative, and operational needs.
• Direct developers and analysts by assigning priorities, monitoring progress, and providing technical oversight to keep projects on schedule and aligned with organizational standards.
• Manage complex programming and systems analysis activities, ensuring solutions are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, translate requirements into technical plans, and maintain strong working relationships across teams.
• Provide hands-on guidance for application design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance within a Microsoft-based environment.
• Oversee issue resolution and performance improvement efforts for existing applications, driving stability, usability, and operational effectiveness.
• Support development practices that align with Agile delivery methods, including collaboration, iterative planning, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate technical work involving application platforms, databases, and supporting tools, including any system-related updates or transition activities as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, business, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of some formal education.• At least 8 years of experience in programming and systems analysis, including leadership responsibility for application delivery or technical teams.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, with demonstrated experience in .NET technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, or VB.
• Practical knowledge of Agile software development approaches, including Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with Microsoft database technologies and related data management practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft server technologies, management tools, and standard business software used in enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of Windows-based operating systems and the administration considerations that support application performance.
• Proven ability to balance technical execution, project coordination, and team leadership in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation
