IT Manager/Director
Responsibilities:
• Direct the administration of Microsoft 365, including account setup, group management, license allocation, and foundational identity tasks within Entra.
• Oversee network operations across more than one office location by coordinating connectivity, firewall performance, switching, VPN access, internet service reliability, and resiliency planning.
• Manage endpoint operations for Windows computers and iOS devices, including deployment, configuration standards, lifecycle support, and mobile device controls.
• Support cloud-based technology decisions by evaluating hosted applications and infrastructure options and maintaining familiarity with core server and identity services in cloud environments.
• Strengthen security operations by monitoring threats, handling email quarantine issues, reviewing suspected phishing activity, and reinforcing sound cybersecurity practices.
• Quickly build working capability in newly adopted business platforms and collaboration tools, becoming a reliable internal resource during the onboarding period.
• Provide guidance on backup approaches, hardware planning, and configuration management to improve consistency, recoverability, and operational stability.
• Assess emerging AI tools and recommend practical use cases that can improve productivity while aligning with business and security expectations.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in an IT leadership or senior systems administration role.• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including users, groups, licensing, and basic Entra identity management.
• Understanding of multi-site networking concepts such as firewalls, switches, VPNs, internet providers, and redundancy planning.
• Hands-on familiarity with endpoint management for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, primarily in Windows and iOS environments.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud service models, including the difference between SaaS and IaaS, along with basic cloud server awareness.
• Practical understanding of cybersecurity operations, including phishing review, quarantine handling, and general protective controls.
• Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, backup solutions, Cisco environments, computer hardware, and configuration management.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms rapidly, along with familiarity with current AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.
Compensation
