Accounting Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to quickly step in and support day‑to‑day accounting operations in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. This role will assist with transactional accounting tasks, ensuring financial data is accurate, up to date, and properly documented.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.

• Assist with data entry, invoice processing, and payment posting with a high degree of accuracy.

• Reconcile bank statements and support account reconciliations.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to billing, payments, and account activity.

• Assist with month‑end close tasks, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

• Support the accounting team with administrative and transactional tasks during peak periods.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

• Prior experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance role preferred.

• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.

• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
